“WE SUPPORT A PRESIDENTIAL PARDON FOR JULIAN ASSANGE” SAY CONSERVATIVES
Almost ten thousand people have now sent a message to President Trump calling for him to pardon WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange.
Since I launched the campaign on 12 December, a growing number of other Conservatives and libertarian Republicans have joined the call. We are the President’s base, and we are saying we support a pardon.
This includes Republican Sarah Palin who has said she made a mistake years ago by not supporting Assange, and now believes he deserves a pardon.
Nick Adams, an Australian and long-time supporter of the President and his policies, has also come forward to support a presidential pardon for Assange. Adams and Palin join other high-profile Republicans in their support of Assange including Congresswoman elect Marjorie Taylor Greene, Congressman Matt Gaetz, Rep. Thomas Massie, and Senator Rand Paul.
What is clear is that there is overwhelming support to see Julian Assange freed and I believe that that the President will not bow to internal pressure, and instead do the right thing for Assange, and most importantly, the people.
The outcome of the UK extradition hearing is due on January 4 2021.
There is still time for the President to intervene. Our values and freedom of speech and the press are at stake here.
The same people who relentlessly attacked the presidency of Donald Trump are the ones persecuting Julian Assange. It’s time to put an end to the assault on the people.
Mr Assange is currently detained in a London prison facing extradition to the United States on 17 charges under the US Espionage Act, which is unprecedented for a journalist or publisher.
The Australian citizen is facing 175 years imprisonment for publishing documents on the WikiLeaks website that exposed the corruption rife within the Democratic party and inner workings of the Deep State.
