Queenslanders urged to sign up for class action

I am encouraging anyone who feels they’ve been ripped off on power prices and would like to get something back to take part in a class action on Queensland electricity pricing.

Recently I met with the the law firm behind the action in Brisbane and I applaud the move to exact justice on alleged artificially inflated costs for both businesses and individuals.

We all know we are charged too much for electricity and for those of us in the north there is no shopping around to get a better deal.

This class action is a legal claim being brought against Stanwell Corporation Limited and CS Energy Limited on behalf of all business and residential electricity consumers in the state.

It will be alleged that Stanwell and CS Energy gamed the electricity pricing system and artificially inflated our electricity bills.

Big users are of course the ones who are hardest hit, but every business, every farmer, every household, feels the pain with every electricity bill.

It costs nothing to be involved in this class action, and while it’s difficult to determine what people might receive, any return would be welcomed.

Anyone who has paid for electricity from 2014 through to 2019 is eligible to join the class action.
