Machinery enthusiasts given funding boost

Burdekin Machinery Preservationists Inc. will be able to cover the costs of some essential equipment thanks to a grant under the Morrison Liberal National Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.

The grant of $4,199 will allow them to purchase supplies to undertake the restoration of two tractors and a rail car, as well as the installation of a defibrillator and some vital IT equipment.

Community groups are a valuable part of our small towns and I’m happy to give these guys a healthy boost.

It’s great news for the club and I’m looking forward to seeing the outcomes of their next few projects.

A total of $13,573 was awarded to three Burdekin-based groups through round 5 of the Morrison Liberal National Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.
