STOP THE EXTREME-GREEN JOB KILLERS
ABUSE OF THE LAW
The coal industry is under intense attack by the extreme greens. Green activists wield the legal system as a weapon, abusing it in order to achieve political outcomes. Their aim is to delay projects with costly legal action until investors retreat from conducting business in Australia.
Extreme green activists target businesses and work sites with disruptive and often dangerous protests. Usually those trying to prevent job creation in Central and North Queensland live thousands of kilometres away in a major city or another state.
In September 2019, George Christensen presented motions, which have become National Party Policy, to legislate against this extreme form of protest and protect Australian industry, workers and jobs.
Motions presented to the Australian Parliament are now National Party Policy.

CARMICHAEL COAL PROJECT
The Carmichael Coal Project is expected to deliver more than 8000 direct and indirect jobs into Central and North Queensland with enormous benefits to the state economy and contributions to State and Federal revenue through taxes and mining royalties. The project faced continual uncertainty and delays resulting from campaigns and legal challenges from environmental activists whose real concern is the coal industry in general.
FIXING THE PROBLEM
If Northern Australia is to develop and continue to prop up the Australian economy, green activists need to feel the full force of the law.
