Shorten needs to back up his outlandish claim
16 NOVEMBER 2016: Bill Shorten needs to back up his outlandish accusations today about 457 visa-related voting in parliament with fact. He claims I voted “no” to legislation that, according to Bill, Labor “proposed to help improve the governance, the regulation of the visa system to make sure that Australians were getting looked after and people weren’t getting ripped off and exploited. He now needs to put forward what piece of legislation he was talking about. He needs to come out and show us what legislation, put forward by Labor, that he claims made sure Australians were getting looked after. He was in government at the time so if they put such legislation forward, they would have passed it and it would now be law. Where is this law?If he fails to produce the law, it is Bill Shorten who says one thing in the electorate and another in Canberra. He can come to North Queensland any time he likes, but if he is going to make such outlandish claims, he needs to be able to back it up.
