MP will travel to India to deliver message

OCTOBER 9, 2015: “We’ve got the workers, the industry capabilities and the experience to support your project Mr Adani, and we’re ready to get started.”This is the message I will share personally with mining investor Gautam Adani when I travel to India next month. The region’s need for jobs and investment is too important to leave to chance, and I will do everything in my power to ensure our region does not miss out on the opportunities the Carmichael Mine Project will bring.I’m asking everyone in Mackay to get on board with my campaign to let Gautam Adani know that we are ready and waiting to roll up our sleeves and get to work.We can’t rely on others to get this message out for us, so I am going direct to the boss with an armful of postcards, as well as the evidence of signatures on my website www.readyforjobs.com.au If it wasn’t for the job-destroying court actions and a campaign of lies and misinformation from the extreme greens, the on-ground construction activity would be happening by now and we would have been enjoying the benefits of this project. The trip to Ahmedabad in India is not official government business, and I will pay for all expenses myself. Please take the time to fill out the postcard which has been delivered to mailboxes, and inserted into the newspapers.Or go to the website and fill out the details online. The more names and postcards we get, the stronger the message we can send to Mr Adani that we support his project and we’re ready to get to work.
