On April 25 I encourage you to reflect on the sacrifice of those who have served our nation.Anzac Day 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the last year of the First World War, and on this day we pay tribute to the more than 50,000 Australians who fought in Gallipoli in 1915, where the Anzac legend was born.Since the first convoy of servicemen left the shores of Albany in 1914, almost two million men and women have worn with pride the uniforms of the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force. On Anzac Day, we remember them.Across Australia and around the world, Australians will attend services to salute the bravery, mateship and sacrifice of these men and women.  Following are the details of services in my electorate.Anzac Day can be difficult for some veterans and their families. Those affected can call the Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service which is available 24 hours a day on 1800 011 046.ANZAC DAY SERVICESMACKAY REGIONMackay4.30 am – Form up - Dawn Service at Macalister Street (between Gordon & Alfred Streets) – behind Senior Citizens & MECC, Mackay4.45 am – Step off – Dawn Service – proceed via Gordon, Wellington & Alfred Streets to Jubilee Park5.00 am – Dawn Service commences8.00 am – Assembly – NEW LOCATION – The Dome carpark behind Dudley Denny Library, Gregory St (between River & Victoria Streets)8.30 am – Step off -
