$4000 to Home Hill RSL to remember vets

JUNE 18, 2018: CONGRATULATIONS go to the Home Hill RSL Sub-branch on their successful application for  funding to commemorate Australia’s wartime history and recognising local service men and women.They will receive $4000 as part of the Australian Government’s Saluting Their Service grants program to support their Remembrance Wall project at the Home Hill War Memorial.Funding will enable them to install service emblems, inscriptions and soldier silhouettes as another permanent tribute to Burdekin community members who have served and continue to serve our country.It's great to see this community is keeping alive the Anzac spirit and teaching future generations about our military history and the importance of reflecting on the price we have paid for our values and freedoms.The Community Commemorative Grants category of the Saluting Their Service program provides up to $4,000 for each project and applications can now be made through the Community Grants Hub.Applicants requiring support in submitting their application are encouraged to phone 1800 020 283 or email support@communitygrants.gov.au
